Finding the Right Job

Ability Building Services contracts with Sunset Manor in Irene, SD to provide work training for people Traumatic Brain Injury.  This past March, Emily Barta, Employment Specialist, was able to help Rich Smith successfully find a worksite opportunity at Shell Gas Station in Irene.  Emily and Rich worked with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and Department of Labor and Regulation, to help secure this worksite.  Rich helps to stock the pop coolers as well as completing other job duties there.  This has been a great job site for Rich as it is close to his residence and he is able to work part time at Shell Gas Station and continue his rehabilitation efforts in Irene as well as at ABS in Yankton.
