Achievement of the Year

Each year ABS holds a recognition banquet to celebrate all of the great things people have achieved.  We host a semi-formal dinner for people supported and their family and friends.  Everyone is recognized for at least one accomplishment from the past year that was meaningful to them.  At the end, one person is honored for the Achievement of the Year award.  This year the award went to Megan Waltner.  Megan’s year has been full of many outstanding achievements. She has been successful in carving out a life of independence in her home and work.   Megan has found a job she loves working for A’viands food service at Mt Marty. Her hard work and dedication to her job enables her to work more hours – as she says “putting more money in her pocket.”  She loves having a job and earning money for fun things like clothes shopping and traveling. Megan is very proud of all of the things she has learned to do on her own.  Megan’s next big dream is to take a trip to South Korea where she was born.  She wants to learn more about the culture there.  We congratulate Megan Waltner for all of the amazing things she has accomplished!
